heater not working
Hello all,
My 'comfortron' system on my 1977 Caprice is working totally fine, except for the fact that it is blowing out strictly cold air all the time. At a shop they have come to the conclusion that my thermostat is working fine, and that there must be a connection issue between the dial (for changing the temperature) and this flap-thingy that opens or closes the air flow of the hot air into the cab. We think that the flap-thingy is either seized, or not getting an elextric signal that would tell it to open/close. In order to fix this, I was advised to take out the glove-box, as the components are behind it. I have taken out my glove-box, but I don't know where to go from there. What my aim is to make sure that the flap is open all the time, so that when my A/C is on, it will blow hot air only. I don't know what this flap looks like, or where to look for it, but I have a feeling I'm not far from locating it. Does anyone have any experience in this or have pictures that would help me out? Many thanks, -zoli |

Re: heater not working
I was going to suggest the diverter valve, but you found it yourself!
