Re: New Heads?

I think thats the clevor head lol. Cleveland head canted valve design applied to a windsor style head. I'm sure they would make a great set of heads but would probably be a little large for your application. You still useing a stock block and S-trim?

Re: New Heads?

Not exactly your everyday smallblock Ford head.

Jon Kaase has won the Engine Masters Challenge several times, I have no doubts that these are top-notch heads, but it would take a lot of motor to breathe that damn much...

Re: New Heads?

You would need at least a 351 to get some volume, port velocity on a 302 would be very low.

Canted design as been around for a long time, and is a very good set up. If I had not already bought my AFR 205s, I would buy these. The price is right, might need to upgrade the springs and valve for that price though. Hell, I upgraded mine on my 205s, and those heads cost twice as much.

Re: New Heads?

Is that a set price or is it that much per head? I though it was $825 per head.

$825 is for the pair. I am still using the stock block with the S trim but I also added a main cap girdle for a little more support. The reason I was looking at these heads is because next year or so (after my wallet does a little healing) I think I might call CHP for that 331 shortblock. I think these heads would be a good match. I really like the valve placement.

Re: New Heads?

Look again, it's a price per head, plus you're gonna have to spend 125 bucks for the specialized valve covers if I'm looking right.

Thats the way I understood it. Also I'm sure you would have to get custom flycut pistons to accept those valve angles as well.

Yep your right, there obviously real proud of those. O well I guess I'll just go for the AFR's or twisted wedge heads.

Re: New Heads?

I have been a fan of AFR heads for a while and never really even considered Trick Flow heads. But now I wish I had bought TW's instead of my wimpy ass Edel's.

Wimpy Edel's? Really I thought they made a pretty good head.

Re: New Heads?

Ah they make a decent head. The vic jr's are competitive. But the Performer and Performer RPM stuff is not worth it I dont think. You can get a better head for the same or less cabbage. TF heads are cheap and can be potent. My heads in sig cost me about $1150.

Re: New Heads?

Don't feel bad, I got 2k in my heads. But they have been pro ported, so they flow a little better than normal, plus upgraded valce train as well, but knowing what I know now, should have went TWs.
