AC Clutch Pulley Assembly

I think I need to replace the AC Clutch Pulley Assembly. My 97 Escort ate my Serpentine belt and has been making a real bad metal on metal noises by the AC belt pulley. Does this sound like I need to replace the Pulley Assembly instead of the whole AC clutch? The AC works real well other than the AC pulley wheel frooze up. Is it difficult to replace the Pulley Assembly?

AC pulley froze up? so if you cant turn it by hand i would suspect your compressor is locked up.
