It's worth whatever you can get for it.
Seriously how are we supposed to be able to tell you what it's worth. Go to www.kbb.com or something and check for yourself.

I'm going to ramble on here. Get Ready...
If you have in your possession a DSM with the 4G63 turbo motor and AWD, you are lucky. But you possibly have a 6 Bolt 4G63 turbo motor which in all reality can be equated to the original legendary 426 Hemi in 4 cylinder terms. Think about it. In mid 1992 they changed the motor to the 7 bolt configuration in which we all know can potentially blow to pieces even if everything looks great (crankwalk). I have seen more than once a 1995-1999 GS-T / GSX Eclipse with a swapped in 1990-1992 6 bolt motor. One was even sold on eBay for alot. The title for the auction read something like "1998 Eclipse GSX with 6 bolt motor swap". It sold for way more than I thought. Getting back to relating it to a Hemi. The 4G63 motor can make over a 1000HP. As a matter of fact I went to a NOPI show this past weekend and seen Brent Rau's Eclipse pass an 7.8 1/4 mile at around 190MPH (numbers might be off a little). I'd bet he's got a 6 bolt sittin' in the engine bay. Why would you build a 7 bolt up when it could possibly blow the F**K up? Even if you go to a junkyard or website to try and buy this motor, the people there would have no FN' idea if the engines they are selling are 6 or 7 bolt. Also, the Lancer Evolution which is actually one of the fastest cars you can buy in the world, has a 4G63 motor in it. The motor has to be the most legendary turbo 4 in existance. Mitsubishi should get some kind of major freakin' award for creating it. To answer the topic, the car is really only worth about $2k-$4K. But for those who know, the motor alone is priceless. Unless your house is getting foreclosed or you just found out you have some major disease like pecker cancer and need the money--keep it.

Re: how much is this worth
if it's a 90 gsx, he HAS a 6 bolt (unless it was swapped to a 7 bolt previously which would be insanely retarded).
just because it's a 6 bolt doesn't mean that it's automatically worth alot more. there are 6-bolts all over the place, and although they are a great engine, they aren't "rare" i'm not telling you your wrong automobile mechanic, but he would be a lucky man if he got any more than $2500 for it. keep in mind it needs some work. |

This has what to do with how much the car is worth.... BTW, stock the 4g63 takes 450 hp easy. After that, you need to start replacing things internally to handle more. Yes, 1,000 hp is possible, but how many people actually reached it on a 4 cylinder engine? Crankwalk is way overrated....and it can happen to a 6 bolt too. They are not immune. Any car for that matter.

Re: how much is this worth
Well, Lets see if you have the 4g63 engine, with 90k miles on it, thats relativly low milage...Body damage...really does account for that much (If its very Minor) Anyways I think that if you can grab a $2k offer. Just take it, righ then and there. You wont get anymore for it!
