There is no way to get rid of glue on clear part (well sanding polishing can, but it will never look like before)

If you can sand it off you can get it to look 80% or even 90% back to original. Start with maybe 600 grit and work your way up to 2000 or higher if you can. Then use rubbing compound or plastic polish. Meguir's scratch X also works well. I've done this with sanding off the lines off a headlight and it looked 90% clear afterwards. You can also dip it in future floor polish to finish it.

Jaymes's said it well. A lot of people have good luck using toothpaste as a last step - it's a mild abrasive and it gives you long-lasting freshness.
From now on, use white glue for clear parts. Easier to take off, and you'll never have fogging problems.

I know this is a very old thread but it is one of those things that I have always wondered...
What glue is best to use when attaching clear parts such as windscreens, headlights etc? I have heard a few say 'white glue', do you mean PVA Wood glue? Any brand names would help me out here. cheers guys

I use that testors clear part cement and window maker, to glue my clear parts. It's also handy for when a clear part gets messed up.
