Hi there! I hope someone can help or provide me with some help tips.
I own a '00 Intrepid, and recently the trunk release button (driver's side below steering wheel) has stopped working. It proved to be somewhat of an inconvenience, however, now I'm unable to even open the trunk with the key! What do I do? Anyone else experience this problem? Is there an easy solution or do I have to go see my dealer to have it repaired? Obviously my preference would be to handle the situation on my own. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

Re: '00 Intrepid trunk release problem
sounds like the latch is sticking. Try this, next time you can get it open, spray some White lithium grease or some WD-40 on the striker, the part on the trunk lid itself, and go from there. If that doesn't free it up, the striker might be seized and may need replacement.
