Removing back door panel

My back window has somehow "jumped the tracks", so now I can pull it up and down with my bare hands. I started to take the door panel off to check out the problem, but I couldn't figure out how to get at the ?screw/bolt? that attaches the armrest/door pull (aka the thing you pull on to close the door) to the door frame.

I got all the clips detached without breaking any (woohoo!), but that panel won't budge without somehow freeing the armrest/door.

I also could not figure out how to get the door handle (aka the thing you pull on to open the door) free from the underlying frame. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

There will be three total screws holding the door panel on. Two under the door pull/armrest trim and one behind the little "SRS" clip on the panel. The panel is also held on with clips around the parameter of the door panel. Just stick a wedge between the door panel and frame and pry out to get the clip to release (I usually start from the bottom). It may take some force the get the first clip to pop because they're pretty strong. So yeah, it's just three screws and some clips...nothing too hard.

Thanks so much! I got the clips undone, but could not get any of the trim pieces around the armrest/door pull to come off so I could get at the screw. I am away from my car right now, but I don't remember seeing an "SRS" clip anywhere. There is a wood-looking panel that runs horizontally near the top, and then nothing else that seemed to want to come off. Is this "SRS" clip near the door handle/opener? If I mention that it the back passenger (right side) door of a 1998 C230, does that help?

Thanks again.

Jeff
