92 Jeep Starting Issue

Ok, Im not very savy in my tech/mechanical skills, but here is my Delima...

My starter is less than a year old as is my battery...I have a 92 Jeep Cherokee, and I get nothing when I turn the key...the radio and All has power, but the Starter does nothing...now, I replaced the Starter 4-5 time in the past 2 years ( lifetime warranty luckily)...but, I sitll ahve this problem...I could roc the Jeep, or turn the key too on and put it in Neutral and it would start, but that has ceased working...now it wont start at all....

What could thi possibly be...the Neutral Safety switch maybe?...or A much larger electrical problem...It runs great s I keep up with the maintenance...but this really sucks...Im am clueless too the problem area...

any suggestions?

thansk

If putting it into neutral worked for a while, I'd suspect the NSS too.

Re: 92 Jeep Starting Issue

I have the same Neutral safety switch problem for my 1993 jeep. Last time a buddy of mine fooled around w/ it in park and it turned on. My question to you is, i have tried millions of times ot get it to work in park and i have failed. Is there a certain way to giggle it in park. Thanks.

Re: 92 Jeep Starting Issue

Until you can repair or replace it, try putting it into neutral.
