Strut mount part number

Does anyone know what the strut mount part number is? It's for a '94 SL ECS equipped GT. I need the front and the rear part number. Thanks in advance.

could you be a bit more specific as to what the mount looks like? does it look like anything in this picture?

NOTE: these are not part numbers. tell me which is the mount (i'm guessing number 40025B?) and i can find the corresponding part number.

Yeah, Linebckr49, I think that the 40025B part is the strut mount (at least it looks like the ones on 3sx).

dealer said the front are mb949423 and the rear are mb338610.

Musashi, are those strut mounts ECS or non-ECS?

none ECS. but you know, looking at that diagram it looks like the strut top would be the same for both. I mean it has no mechanical function at all.
Does the ECS on the SL affect the springs or the shocks? cause if it only stiffens up the shock then the strut top would deffenetly be the same. the strut top only supports the spring in place and if the srings on the SL are the same diameter as the base (and they are) then the only difference between ECS and non ECS would be the shock absorber and the little harness on the top of the diagram.

Well, 3sx has both ECS and non-ECS listed so I just assumed that they'd be different. ;o/

That's awesome 2Devious....is there anyway we could get the part numbers from the pictures? I'm assuming that as far as the strut mounts for the front goes, it's the same for all since there was only one for FWD!?!

i did the same search for 95-99 cars, and concluded the same thing: FRONT strut mount for the FWD cars are same, regardless of ECS or noECS. however, it appears that the REAR strut mount for FWD cars is specific for ECS vehicles.

sLADe, what model, year is your car?

i have two part numbers for the FRONT strut mount on the FWD cars:

for models up to 93.5: P/N MB633378 & MB949423

for all other models: P/N is just MB949423

i was not able to find any part numbers for the REAR strut mounts. actually, the program i have is the WinCAPS Mitsubishi Parts Search, so i think its pretty comprehensive and accurate. But considering the results i got from my previous search on the website 2Devious posted (my previous post), i think there are actually 3 part numbers that are relevant here. evidence for this are the three different prices for the 2WD strut mounts for Front and Rear (inclusive): $57.40 (front), $23.22 (rear no ECS) & $62.73 (rear ECS).

so given this information, and the part numbers i've provided, i think you're next step is to call the dealership and just ask them for the part number for your specific application. if they ask for your VIN, then just say no, you just want the part numbers. don't take their bullcrap, but they're usually nice to people who throw out part numbers b/c they think that you know a thing or two about cars :

I have a '94 SL with ECS. Yeah, I actually went to the dealership and when I asked them for it, they were asking me what the strut mount was. So basically after that, I just don't trust their judgement anymore! But hmm....if they have my VIN though, then they should be able to pull the right p/n for my car, right?

yes, if they have your VIN, they can pull the correct p/n for your car. and if you give them the part numbers i provided above, then they should be able to get an idea of what the strut mount is. most likely the parts numbers above are for strut mount on other years, but it MIGHT actually be the one for you car. just call and ask, and give them part numbers.
