Question To Buy 97 Lincoln Continental

I am in the process of purchasing a 97 Lincoln Continental. It has 170K miles. A Re-Built Trans.

What are the problems areas of concerns? What should I look during the test period? I do not want a a major bill for at least 3 months.

PLEASE HELP ME DECIDE

Derrick

I haven't owned my Lincoln all that long, but the airbag suspension is suposedly a royal pain, and expensive. If the car lowers while parked and has to use the compressor to often, be wary. Other than that anything is possible on a vehicle with 170000 miles.

Re: To Buy 97 Lincoln Continental

I have a 97 continential. While riding it shuts off (on freeway) and will not start for 1 hr. The last time it shut off it did not start. Performed major tune-up, replace fuel filter and air filter. Fuel inertia cutoff switch is OK.
NEED HELP!!!!!
