a small swap

okay im doing this for a friend of mines and he has an 88 crx hf.. what im doing is puttin in a 88 crx si motor in for him.. would all the wires and things plug up?? they both are multi point fuel injected.. and would the hf tranny work with the si motor?? what clutch should i use an si or hf clutch in the hf tranny?? would i have to use an si axle?? thanx

the engine will drop right in, I'd suggest using the Si intake manifold if you can, its larger. The Hf tranny will work fine, depending on what flywheel you use the clutch will vary, if you use one from 90-91 its larger than 88-89.
With the Hf tranny you will need to use the HF axles and hubs.

not worth it to use the HF tranny. Try to find an Si one for about $150 tops at a junk yard. and use the Si axels as well.

thanx for the info oh i have one more question.. you kno on the hf's there the black box on the firewall with the map vaccum lines on there.. would those work out or do i need to swap that out with a dx or si sensor/ vaccum...

map sensor lines should be the same. the hf tranny is gonna suck, i would try to find a si trans, my buddy is selling one in good shape if you are interested.

ok well i got the motor in and everything is wired up it just wont start now.. it cranks over but not willing to start.. im fustrated now i dont kno what to do anymore someone please help
