The gauge on my 2002 Jetta 1.8T works intermittantly. I bought a replacement sensor (online), but can't seem to locate the sensor on the engine! I know it doesn't thread into the block, but clips into something as it has a o-ring seal. Any help on where to look would be appreciated.

Re: 2002 Jetta Temp Sensor
What was your part # for the temp sensor? Our prob is the temp light comes on in the morning (warm or cold outside) with the buzzer. The light stays blinking until we shut it off and turn it on again. I have checked the coolant = good. No leaks. Tried to get it in to the dealer for service. But that is a another horrible story.
