Tires?

How do the LeMans brand tires stack up to tires like Nitto?

If you need specifics, I'll get 'em, but this is just a general question.

Never heard of Lemans tires. But anything is better than Nittos they are thw worse tire except maybe for the drag tires.

really? I thought Nittos were supposed to be good. hmm.

LeMans seem to be good to me, only time I ever lost it while driving was trying to beat a yellow light at 35-40 mph on a 90 degree bend that tilted the wrong way. And it had just rained. I won'tbe doing anything that stupid again, but the point is they never failed me otherwise.

Thanks for comments, keep them coming, someone must have heard of these tires before?

Haven't heard of Le Mans before. Nittos are some crap, at least the 450's. Lets just say it involved my friend (96GSR) and me, high speed, and a tree. If you can afford it, get something more reputable. Only 4 points are keeping you on contact with the ground, and if they were that good I'm sure someone would have been able to answer you post a long time ago.

Since when are tires supposed to stick to the ground no matter what? If youre driving like a jack ass of course they are going to slip -- thats what you get for not learning how to control your car and know its limits

What a comment, the whole point of a tire is to stick to the road.
The less they break loose, the harder you can drive that is the whole point.

The Nittos suck, not a good tire overall, nor are the Toyos, but I never heard of the Lemans. Must be some off hoot brand of a major company like Kelly tires are made by Michelin.

I don't know what your talking about but toyo fz4's and t1s's are some of the best tires you can buy. They grip perfectly.

As I said to someone else if you think Toyo FZ4s stick then you haven't tried alot of tires. FZ4s are known for their durability not stick. Harder tires will last longer at the expense of gripping power. You should try Falken Azenis or BFG g-force TA KDs.

Those tires you mentioned I agree with for maxium stick.
The Toyo's stick just fine for putting around, but are weak for any type of racing. They do not grip and roll over way too much.

I will probably switch to the BFG's after the S03s, but they are considerably more expensive then the Azenis RS.

And they squeal like a pig in heat if you push them a little. My Kumho 712s were like that - they were ok street tires, but autocross - YIKes!

I was utterly embarrassed driving on the Toyos. God I felt like I had a flat all the time by the way they squealed.

The Kuhmos are not in the same class as those tires as far as noise though, that for sure.
