OHV vs OHC

i was having a difference of opinion with another member on another thread and was wondering what you all had to say on the topic.

OHV vs OHC valve trains

what are the advantages and disadvantages of each?
which do you think is better and why?

This has been done to death in the engineering and technical forum, I sugggest a forum specific search in there.

And for the record they can be the same thing, as most OHC engines are also OHV.
You have you to get your terminology right first.
