came back from the track

ok i just came back from the track and it was fun but now i know why FWD sucks a ittle, lol. at every launch(sp) my tires would bounce a lot. and i was launching at 3.5K. but i kept doing low 16's, my best one was
R/T ............... .851
60'................. 2.617
330.................6.935
1/8................10.494
MPH...............69.24
1000..............13.540
1/4................16.087
MPH...............89.42
my best R/T was .319 . but it was my first time at the track, so hopefully i'll do better next season

Re: came back from the track

You will get better, the more u run the better u get, my 1st time down the track last year i ran a 14.7 since i got my car down to 13.7 and now hoping to do better than that since upgrade if nothing else happens to my car lol. I have made like 80 passes down the track now, not all in my car tho. Hopefully next week i will hit the track again!!!

Re: came back from the track

I would make sure your car is in perfect running order. Your up top looks to be suffering.

Also, prothan motor mounts almost completely stopped my wheelhop. Don't let your car wheelhop, it's very bad for the car!

Re: came back from the track

Reaction time doesnt matter at all in the times. Just wanted to mention that, its amazing how many poeple think that affects their ET. If you're on a regular sportsman tree, anything less than .500 is a red light anyway, so 319 isnt necessarily a good thing Thats a pretty decent mph for so little mods, so thats a good sign that the car is running well. If you could knock that 2.6 down to a 2.4 you would be around 15.6. The weather is getting colder (where I amanyway) and traction is getting harder to come by though...

Re: came back from the track

ya, my taurus traps about the same speed and you should be trapping a lot higher than it. Ya, your 60' sucked and even your 1/8 mile really sucked, but that trap speed still seems pretty low, that car should be trapping closer to 92 or so.

yeah i know those numbers suck. it was kinda embarrasing because the honda boys kept doing 14's and 15's but like i said next year ill have more mods on my car and will get better times. but for now is almost time to put my car in the garage let her rest.
