Rear-end questions, help??

How can I tell if I have a full-floating or semi-floating axle? And is there a way to tell the ring gear size, 8.5 or 9.5 without pulling the cover and physically measuring it? The code in the glove box is GU6 and I know the axle ratio is 3:42, a posi trac and it is a ten bolt cover.

Thanks for any help you can give.

If it was full floating you would see the hub and bolts on the end of the axle. 9.5 is the large axle most likely in the 3500 series only.
