I think i have a short but do not know where, went from fuse box to radio and found no breaks or crossed wires...time on radio just keeps going up and radio wont respond to any button...any ideas?

Is the connection between your antenna and head unit split anywhere? Is the antenna wire thing still plugged in? If theres no breaks in the radio wire and its still plugged in, I bet your head unit took a shit and you will need a new one.

It looks clean connection wise, do you mean wiring harness = (Head Unit)

If the radio just keeps scanning, its either because of no signal from the antenna or the head unit is messed up inside. If it turns on the wiring harness should be ok. I bet you could get another one from a junk yard for like $20, I would give that a try.
