Hey I'm a lil new to intrepids. I just got mine the other day and at idle, the oil pressure light comes on and then the engine stalls? Car has 87k on it. Wuts the deal??

Well... silence. J/k but real talk, it makes no noises. I also noticed that it will only shut off when the steering wheel turns and i am below 5 mph usually happens whilst turning left, but i have yet to try a right turn.

if your check engine light is on, it might be your power steering pressure sensor that's acting up. The sensor jacks up the idle during parking lot procedures when P.S. pressures are high so that your motor won't stall.

As a matter of fact, I think you hit that right on the head, my check engine light is on because of a fault power steering sensor. But can you tell me what that has to do with the idle again; I didn't really comprehend your last sentence.

When you are about to turn into a parking spot, your engine is at idle. As soon as the steering wheel is turned, your power steering pump generates the most pressure when you initially turn the wheel. As a result, that power steering pressure sensor increases the idle speed so that the engine does not stall out during parking procedures.
