rear abs brakes

After replacing the rear drivers side caliper on my 1993 taurus I tried to bleed it but it and I cant get fluid out of the bleeder. After not getting any fluid out of the bleeder on the drivers side, I went to the passengers side to see if I could get fluid out of that bleeder. I didn't get any out of that one either. I'm stuck and don't know what to do. I can spin the passenger tire while my wife presses on the brake. Ive never had anything like this happen to me while changing brake calipers. Any direction that anybody can give will be appreciated.

Thanks

Tony

HAve yo taken the cover off of the master cylinder?

Are youpumping the brakes until the pedal gets firmer and holding the brake pedal down while releasing the bleeder?

HAve you added more fluid to the resovoir?

SOunds kind of weird to me.

Re: rear abs brakes

mwt878991 thanks for your replay. I did all the things you mentioned. I searched the archives and found several posts about the rear rubber brake lines. I disconnected these and had fluid from the resovoir back to the metering block. These lines had deteriorated, so I replaced them. And hopefully that solved the problem.

Thanks again,

Tony
