1998 Contour overheating

I just had a new waterpump installed by a local shop as the impeller had blown up as they do being made out of a composite. But it still overheats a bit. Not a lot but higher than it ran before. I am wondering if the shop got all the pieces out of the thermostat and or the radiator and hoses. It just acts like a plugged up radiator. But was fine before the repair. Any ideas? Also any ideas how to get the pieces out if that is the case? Dale It is the v6 motor I forgot to mention

Id say its possible some of the pieces of the impellar could be lodged in the plumbing.

Did they flush the coolant?
