69 Camaro....finally done

Well i finally finished the 69 camaro I was building for my wife. I wreked the first body when plishing it...a little too much pressure and snap went the a pillars.SO I bought anothe r kit and redid the body. The colour is plum crazy metallic purple basecoat with transparent blue top coat. black rallye stripes and white and black interior.

more pics for ya. I must say since joining this site my builds are getting better. my only big problem with this kit is the paint is on way thick....the testors sprays seemto really lay the paint on heavy....or is it just me. i hope to be half as good as some of you guys and girls someday.

please give some feedback good or bad. I was going to do the bmf on the window trim, but withthe paint being thick some of the lines are distorted and it would have been hard to do. all i id was bmf the tailights on this one. still learning to work with it so im starting small

one more top view. so you can see the shine. i wet sanded the body between coats to help to keep it smooth. I really like the black stripes....great contrast against the shiny blue

You need sunglasses to look at that shine in the second pic!! Nice job! Gotta love the `69!!
I`ve never seen the dark blue with the black stripes, but I like it!

Re: 69 Camaro....finally done

Very excellent paint. It may be a little thick, but it's smooth and clean and that's important. The rest will come with practice. This is an excellent build, and I can't wait to see what you're going to come out with next.
