good deal?

hey guys, i have a 92 civic thats pretty decked out but the SOHC is just not cutting it for me anymore. i'm buying a 1999 acura integra GS-R 2dr 5spd with 70,000 for around 10,000. i thought it sounded like a good deal, i already put my down payment on it and i'm picking up the car on monday. yesterday i ordered the skunk2 intake manifold, headers, exhuast, short shifter, aem v2 intake (best performance upgrade on my civic i think), centerforce stage 2 clutch and 7lbs flywheel. i'm hoping the gs-r will be putting around 200hp to the wheels. what do you guys think i'll be doing in the 1/4? i'm getting a sick CF hood but do you know if they make a CF trunk hatch replacment? i want to keep the good MPG and keep the engine idling normaly but are there any other bolt-ons you think are worth my time?

If you expect to get 200whp with just those mods your guessing is way off. Oh well, here's some extra things you can do:

-When you do the manifold (which by the way AEBS and Blox are both better and cheaper than skunk2) get a hondata intake gasket. It adds a little power but it's noticeable.
$60

-when you do the S.S. also replace the bushings on the shift linkage(energy suspension and prothane both make them)
$20

also a basic tune up will reallly help too (denso plugs and magnacore or nology wires are a very nice improvement over stock)
$130-225

You should make about 185whp MAX. even with these additonal mods but, with the flywheel it will accelerate like a bat out of hell over stock.

Personally I would have gone engine swap (GSR if that's the motor you want) if I had 10g to spend. you could have done that and a lot more for the same price and it would kill an Integra GSR.

Re: good deal?

Don't believe the claims that companies put out. GSR has 175 CRANK horsepower, that's more like 155-160 at the wheels. I/H/E will net you anywhere between 7-12 whp, IM will probably give you another 10 or so I think. So you're falling shy of 200whp.
