Ford V8 and Polyester putty

Hi Guys

Need some help.

First off, I need a Ford DOHC 32 valve V8. I can get hold of a Mustang MAch III , would that have one in?

Second, anyone know if Polyester Putty is strong to make very thin parts like Windscreen pillars? It always dries pretty damn tough but I'm just curious as to how brittle it is.

Thanks guys

Farrokh

Re: Ford V8, vacforming and Polyester putty

First question, The only similar engine I know of is in the Ford Vicking Snap Together kit by Testors I believe. Its not that hard to scratch build one if you can get some dimensions.

Second question, no, polyester putty would not be suitable for building pillars. I would using a combination of brass and styrene. Use the brass as the strength of the structure and then styrene over it to give it the detail and proper shape.

Thanks Mike

I'm basically looking for the engine thats in the Koenigsegg CC8.

Also rather than start a new thread, what thickness of clear styrene do you vacuformers use for windshields?

Cheers
