Stupid Ca Cops!

Cop trails my ass for about three miles yesterday, then finally decides to pull me over.
Cop "do you know what i pulled you over for?"
me "nope, not at all"
cop "i pulled you over for your modified exhaust, its illegal to modify your exhaust to increase horsepower or noise in the state of CA"
me "Really? cause my buddy who helped me install this, his dad is a cop, and he said i shouldnt have any problems, as long as it is below the right number of decibals"
For some reason, this pisses the cop off, he tells me that since i know so much, i can go to my friends dad and talk to him about it, hands me my ticket. By the way, the cops have nothing to do in my little town of rocklin, so it started with one motorcycle cop, then a cop car comes in front of me and boxes me in while i am getting the ticket, then another cop keeps circling the block until im done. what the hell!

In central Illinois, they could care less as long as you're not speeding to far over the limit, we dont get profiled at all around here from what i've seen.

Cops in MA are real hard on exhausts too. Mass has a boner for trying to be like california for some reason... Second toughest state to mod cars in. I need to move.

Exhausts are undisputedly the number 1 reason why most people with modded cars get pulled over, if they appear to be obeying the law otherwise. Then it becomes PC (probable cause) to search the rest of the vehicle, and that's the end of that...

Yep, I live in central IL also and I feel the same way. My town of sandwich is small and the cops have nothing to do but, for the most part they're pretty good about leaving you alone unless your being stupid.

Yeah, cops around here are gay. We've got shit loads of meth labs and drug dealers and they have to run around harassing our "car guy" population. Some people just meet in random parking lots and talk, most of the time the business is closed, and cops come around and give us shit. I would have your car tested for the decibelage (sp?) and contest that shit!

yeah I got pulled over by TWO cops here in Ohio for having a rear license plate light burt out!! i was like wtf?? he wrote me a ticket, but my girlfriends dad is the boss of the cops who pulled me over, so he got me out of it b/c it was a stupid reason to get a ticket instead of a warning.

In mass there is no decibal limit for cars. The law is that you can't do anything that makes the car louder than stock. It is entirely up to the cop to make the determination, and you have absolutely no recourse at all. I have a court date in november, can't wait to lose and get a 15% rate increase. Faggots.

SRT4 guys have to go to court all the time for this. Since thier cars didn't come with mufflers, they all get off. Bastards

So that means... no muffler on a car= illegal? lol i didnt know that. The exhaust shop did my car and took the muffler out. Lucky i still have my dealershit plates on so it looks new and stock from factory. I got pulled over twice because of chirping accidently and lucky they didnt get me for my exhaust. Im in sac, cal by the way.

In MN I dont think we have a state wide deciabel limit, but in my town we have some crazy noise ordinance. If we were to get pulled over for noise, we have to get tested and if we didnt pass we get a fine. Its a pretty high decibel limit, I dont know why they even put it on.
