Question Problem starting - Cold Weather

Hey all;
I remember last year when it started getting cold, the car had some problems starting for the 1st time. If she was cold, and I was cold, it would usually take 2 tries to turn over.

It's cold again, and now I'm having more problems. The average times to crank it over is 3-4. When I turn the key, she starts up right away, then idle drops, and dies. Ill do it again, and pretty much the same thing. Ill keep my foot on the gas, and when I let off, itll start choking, and then die. Alternator is fine, and I jsut rechecked all the plugs and everything. It takes a couple minutes of running the car before it gets warmed up, and works fine. Doesnt seem like a problem, but my neighbors complained about it just now... I have a very narrow driveway between my house and the neighbors. Barely fit one car in there. VERY narrow. I guess the exhaust pisses them off. Very loud when I sit there trying to turn it over. Any suggestions? Thanks

Re: Problem starting - Cold Weather

Same shitty problem with my Eclipse RS. Sooo many things that can be a factor to your RPM's falling and car trying to choke. I know that most of the time its a sensor and seeing that the car is a 1995 its about 10 years old so I am sure it would be some little sensor ready to be replaced . My problem was the Idle Speed Control ( I forgot what its called exactly ) its on the back of the throttle body. I also repaced the ECU and the problem was gone. Also this happend only when my car would still be cold so that would be in the mornings only.
It would stall sometimes when it was in neutral so I had it in gear most of the time.
