Temperature Control Panel Remove & Replace

Can someone out there describe to me, or point me to a website that describes, what I need to do to remove and replace the temperature control unit on my '98 Olds Aurora?

Do I really have to remove the whole dasbaod to getr access to the screws? Local dealer says its difficult and wants $150 just for labor.

Well that means that it takes about 2-2.5 hrs. Do you alreday have the new piece?? Do you need one??

I already have the replacement part, I just need to figure out how to get access to the mounting screws.
