Re: PLease Help MEEE!!!!!!!!!!!! jetta 97

Very good description, this light will come on for two reasons.
First reason is if you are low on coolant
Next if the car is overheating.

If the gauge to the left of that light is not toward the right side while this light is flashing, you are just low on coolant, fill as soon as possible. Go to your local dealership or VW mechanic and have them fill up the antifreeze, and order an owners manual at the same time. This vehce uses an antifreeze that normal parts stores do not have, and do not mix. The manual will tell you what type to use.

If the gauge with the same symbol to the left of the light that is flashing is in the high range you vehicle has overheated. If it is still running, you are lucky, and sould see your mechanic right away

just put sum antifreeze in it mine did that too, wen u replace ure coolant u may wanna use a 100 percent solution because the old solution shouldnt of leaked in the first place because it is a closed system and if that light came on you have a leak. using a 100 percent is thicker then 50 water 50 coolant so it wont leak (as bad) unless you have a huge hole.

Make sure you use the PINK antifreeze, otherwise you're going to do more damage. Very important.
