1984 LTD hard starting

I have a 1984 LTD wagon with 101,000. Wednesday night I drove it 35 miles to school, started up and ran fine. WHen I got out of class I had to crank it and crank it to get it to start. In the last 2 days I've driven it twice and every time it's harder and harder to start. Just wondering whatg to look for. It has electronic fuel injection.

First of all if your driving with a bad oil pump this car isn't going to run for long before you fry the motor. I aways though that electronic fuel injection did not come on these cars until 1986.

not very familiar with this year but if it has multi port injection then i would start by checking static fuel pressure when you turn key to ON position.it should hold steady at somewhere above 30 psi.if it drops suddenly then that would indicate a bad fuel pump or regulator.

At 101K start ckecking the tune up end of it.
Plugs wires fuel and air filter and check out that fuel pressure. Give it a good look over.
And do it a favor feed it the good motorcraft plugs the book calls for.
Let us know what you find.
