A few problems with my 01 Cav.

I've got a few problems, and questions about my 2001 Cavalier.

1st question I have is, can anyone tell me where to get an original gas cap for this car? I've bought ones that "should" work with my car, but none of them have ever fit, and so subsequently they just kinda sit in their half plugging the hole.

2ndly, I've got something wrong with the front driverside of the car. While at slow speeds, and higher speeds, I have a bumpy feeling coming from the driverside tire area. I don't know if it's the tire itself or something else. I know that my suspension is in need of changing, but it only got worse when I just recently rotated my tires.

Lastly, I have some sort of noise come from the driverside tire area when I brake. It's not the brakes letting me know they're low on the pad, as I checked them. It doesn't happen all the time either. It will randomly sound like a grinding noise when I'm slowing down. No other time, which leads me to believe that it IS in fact something wrong with the brake on that side, but as to what I've got no clue.

Thanks for any help!

as far for the gas cap u can get it on the dealer

it will fit

for the bumping feeling check the tire for balance and for a ball

tire must be messed up

for the grinding noise check the front pad and the rear pad
in that wheel

sometimes the caliper is not seated well and half the pad makes contact

or pad might be cracked also while the wheel is lifted

make sure is not the bearing on that wheel, just rotate the wheel
and look for where the sound is comming from

the same sound will lead ya to the area of problem

if u have more questions let me know
