Exhaust gas
I recently bought a '93 C1500 w/ 187k miles. I have noticed a strong exhaust smell around the truck. Has anyone experienced this? Could the converter be getting backed up? It has never been replaced.
Also, what's the difference between a C1500 and a Silverado? My truck is called C1500 but I have Silverado badge.

You have a silverado the C just means it's a 2 wheel drive, on four wheel drives they are K.....
You might trying changing out the O2 sensor or the vapor cannister and look around for any exhaust leaks
