haven't had a good race in a while but a couple good ones last night

well i was on the way home from the movie theatre,(went and say "serenity" which was acutally pretty good) and as i get onto one of the main roads to my house a late ninetys civic comes down off the freeway and slides up next to me. its a two lane road both ways and its around twelve o'clock on a thrusday night so the streets were empty as could be. so there's me in my little white car with no radio bored outta my mind and im just cruisin next to this guy and i look over and hes laughing at me cuz i dont have a radio... well i give him the hand motion to see if he wanted to run once or twice and he nodded yes. so i get down into second gear at around 30 mph. and he honks down. three two one. we're off, we both get on it and i could tell he only had intake so it was gonna be a semi-close race. up through the rmps my car gets insanely loud and since the back light for my tach is broken all i have to go off of is the sound of the car. so it bounces off the rev limiter and i shift hard into third and he does the same. up to 60mph im about half a length ahead. and im puttin more distance on him at about 75 i shut down, as did he. we slow down and he comes up next to me and i give him the thumbs up and we go our seperate ways. so i make a turn towards my house onto march lane... big long street, three lanes each way, good stuff. so as im headin to my house i come up on either a really old celica or supra. im not really sure, now this was actaully kinda gay of him IMO but im always up for a dog fight. for about half a mile the guy wouldn't look at me and id goose the throttle to see if he would bite but nothing. we come up on a red light and hes about two cars back behind me and i get down into second gear to stop for the light. but it turns green right when i get to it and he jumps out in front of me. so im down low in the rpms and i have zero power down there in second gear so i get on it to catch up. and again bounce the rev limiter cuz i cant see shit and start to catch up. third gear i shift beautifully and get up to his rear bumper from around two cars distance at around 75ish again. and we shut down. after we exchange the thumbs up we went our seperate ways and even though i missed my turn by about three miles it was still a fun night. so a decent night in a crappy car but its always fun....

cliff notes: raced late ninetys civic with intake and put about a length on him. second race was a old old celica or supra(i couldn't tell) decent race altough he got the jump on me big time...

Nice kill. Its cool to hear from other E30 drivers. You should think about getting a 325i though their much quicker than the 325 trust me. In fact you could buy mine

o no... its ungoldy slow. but i do what i can. i think it would run like high high fifteens but tahts pushin it. maybe like low sixteens. which is horrible but o well. its got i think a 3.2 LS differential on the back which is nice but that doesn't do much for top end speed. and my brother has a 94 325i and i love the damn thing. and its a 325e... still its like grandma on sunday morning driving to church compared to a "real" car. but hey its alotta fun to play with. me and my brother are thinkin about pickin up a couple e30 IX's. all wheel drive would be awsome. and with some money it would be amazing. drop an e36 M3 engine and a few other mods and wow i all you could say.

Your E is more like a high 16 low 17. The E30 325i is a high 15sec. I would either put the M3 motor in your car or get a E30 325i and turbo that. The IX is cool but its not what you think. I heard they dont take more power very well. However if you were going to redo everything then maybe.
