Question 99 Regal GS Struts

I am in need of some new struts on the front end of my 99 GS.
I want to buy some good ones.
Does anyone have a sugestion on what to replace the stock ones with?
I don't want a stiff ride but would like some handling.

IMO the best struts for your Regal GS are the OEM AC Delco but they are expensive. Although brands like the Monroe Sensatrac are cheaper, they will destroy your handling. A GS has GM's RPO FE3 suspension/handling option.

Another popular aftermarket strut for GM "W" bodies are the KYB GR2s.

Re: 99 Regal GS Struts

BNAYLOR is 100% 100% 100% correct....i put Monroe sensa-tracs in the front and regret it....i have used the sensa trac before and had no problems, in other cars....my car has 115k...the fronts were a little bouncy. the rears were ok.... i put sensatracs and notice the fronts are soft and the old stock rears are alot better than the new MOnroe's.... AC Delco should give you about the same ride as the OEM....KYB will handle alot better on the HWY, but give a slightly harder ride local... , i think i heard that Monroe bought out Gabriel many years ago....when you replaced your old struts w/ Gabriel, it was like just removing the old struts and not putting new ones in and just driving.....it seems some of this has rubbed off on Monroe...
