Unhappy Dash Lights

Problem with dash lights. Had no dash lights radio display or overhead console display when headlights are on. Display for radio and overhead work fine when headlights are off. I have changed the Headlight/Dimmer switch which temporarily fixed the problem; However something keeps blowing out the dimmer switch. I'm on my third one. I will be driving along and all of a sudden the dash just goes dark. This usually happens less than a month of installation of a new switch. Any help please.

Have you changed out your radio? You must be careful with the wire coloring for speakers. Also you may need to run seperate power and ground wires if the new radio is not factory.
