Brake rotor/pad recommendations
95 Escort LX. I had pretty severe pulsing when braking, so I tried getting the front rotors turned down. This made a huge difference for a few thousand miles, then the pulsing returned. So I was thinking of replacing the rotors with the pads. I saw quite a range of rotors at autozone, Valuecraft $19, Duralast $29, and up. Anyone have any recommendations for a pad/rotor combo that worked well?

Re: Brake rotor/pad recommendations
Don't buy the value craft. Stick with the OEM style from either Ford or Raybestos for the best wear and heat disipation characteristics. As for the pads, ceramic are the best although the performance friction carbon metallic are good too.

pads & rotors
Well, it's a '92, right? How much longer do you anticipate owning the car? On my '96 I used the "middle of the road" priced components....they are so cheap you can afford to do them every 2 years or so instead of cutting the rotors at new pad time...

Thanks everyone. I think I may go with the mid-range like the Duralast. I just wanted to be sure I didn't end up with rotors that were so cheap they wore away or warped badly when using semi-metallic pads.
