noise from front end

I have a weird noise coming from my front end. It sounds like a rubbing noise but it stops as soon as I hit the brakes and starts again as soon as I let off of the brakes. It is a steady noise but not continous. The noise gets more frequent the faster i go. I hope this makes sense. I have already checked the brakes and it seems like neither side is rubbing. I am thinking maybe a warped rotor? But I don't know how exactly to tell if a rotor is warped. Thanks in advance for any advice.

If your rotor was warped then you steering wheel would shake when you apply the brakes. It would feel like a "pulsing" from the brakes instead of smooth braking.
