Exclamation 86Cressidas RPM

Recently, my car would turn off by itself when I start it up. I just changed the gas filter because I asked a local auto parts dealer and he suggested that the gas/fuel filter may have been clogged. I am wondering if I should clean out the I.A.C? Anyone have any ideas?

Also, my R.P.M would be below 500 when I put it into D drive.

Cheap gas can also cause this. I had same problem,(on a different car) changed EVERYTHING.. then I put some Mobile Gas in.. problem solved.
