Hey, I just signed up here a few hours ago...thought about just lurking around, but felt it would be better to actually make a few posts.

A little about myself, then, eh?

I have a 1972 convertible volkswagen superbeetle that I have owned for almost 7 years. I try to do as much of the work that gets done on it myself - but there have been a few times where I just havent had the resources (tools, equipment) to do so....one day I hope to not have those moments. Eventually when I find some motivation I want to go get certified and become a mechanic - but it seems a daunting task as the only car I have ever worked on has been my beloved vw.
