I love the hell out of that car but would rather buy a stock Eclipse and build up...more pride in the end. Plus I don't have 15 grand maybe thats why.

3 things caught my attention
1) 335 injectors but 400 horsepower?
2) Why would you just sell a high horsepower show car? Something has to be wrong with it.
3) It's a gs with a 20g so reliability seems sketchy

If I had 15 grand to frivilously spend I would look at this one:

Those 3 things jumped out at me also. Why would you buy that car for 15k, when you could spend all that money on your dsm and it would be the way you want it? He will have a hard time selling for that much.

not everyone has the time or know-how to do things theirselves, or the required tools either. don't get me wrong, i'm the kind of person who has to do everything for themselves 3 times before i go out and buy it, but not everyone is like that.

on the other hand, that car seems pretty legit. tons of pictures of everything that people would be interested in, seller has good feedback (not a ton of feedback, but 100% is a start). i mean, don't go pay $15,000 and then go pick it up. i would have a look at it first and all the reciepts and stuff just to verify that everything IS legit (seems to be though) and then go ahead with the purchase.

as a response to those things that stuck out:

1) 335 injectors? maybe a typo, maybe not. he seems like he knows what he's talking about so it's not like he just put up numbers to make him "look" intellgent

2) he stated that he is getting married which means he's probably buying a house, whether that's true or not is his knowledge, but people don't always keep cars they have done up forever. personally, i like to move on to bigger and better things after the fun has wore off.

3) a gs with a 20g? it's a completely re-built motor, that means upgraded internals and the whole thing. 18psi is very easily do-able on a built 420a, jake said he ran 22 on race gas with 0 knock so it's easily do-able to run 18psi and have it run perfectly normal. not sketchy at all. people underestimate the 420a too much. granted it's not a 4g63, but it's a decent motor that can put out some interesting numbers if modded correctly.

Re: Tricked out ebay car, would you buy?

The general rule is that no matter how much money one dumps into a car, an no matter how many mods it has, its sale price will almost never reflect any of that...you never get a cent back.

There are excellently modded 2Gs out there, with 6-bolt swaps, bigger turbos and a bunch of other mods, going for $7000-8000. I wouldnt pay that much for a GS with a 20G on it either, as noted above. There are much better deals out there, IMO.

Hey now! What do you have against rich kids?! lol jk I wish I could be offended by that. Oh, and build a car... Don't buy it with the work done. That'd take all the fun out of it.

Re: Tricked out ebay car, would you buy?

That car isn't really my style, but i never judge a car or their owner by what style they have chosen to build it up because different people like different things. I can look at any style car that has been quality built and appreciate the work and attetion to detail put into it no matter what style was chosen or even if i dont even like the car.

As for the question of the cars worth.....IMO you can never really put an exact worth on these modded cars. 15,000 is alot of money, but there are alot of mods, and there has been alot of money invested in it. The owner seems to know what he is talking about and it doesnt seem that he has used any off brand parts. It doesnt seem that he has done any stupid mods.....like stick on body parts and ugly decals and lots of neon and huge ricer spoilers. So overall I think it is a pretty well built car and seems to be legit.
But the only person that can decide it's worth is you. The way I look at it, the value of something is only as much as someone is willing to pay for it.

I hope my opinion has helped
