srt4 vs jdm celica alltrac/gt4

hi guys, i own a celica but i am a big fan of the srt4 and i come here sometimes just to read posts.

anyways i dont know if any of you know what an alltrac celica is , its a celica with awd and a turbocharged 2.0l engine (basically a evo or sti but made over 10 years before them) what do you think about theese 2 cars head to head?

Re: srt4 vs jdm celica alltrac/gt4

the all-tracks are fast, but it will be VERY close in a race. you have to NAIL the launch perfectly or you dont stand a chance. the power isnt really there. the srt is easier and cheaper to mod as well.

very cool car though. they are pretty rare! i would love one in my driveway! any turbo AWD 2 door car is cool in my book.

Did you buy it new or pick it up used somewhere? I haven't seen or even heard of an Alltrac in a long time... that's an awesome find, even if it is slightly slower than an SRT-4... props to you for owning one!

Re: srt4 vs jdm celica alltrac/gt4

i dont own one i just wish i did. i own a regular gts celica. i was just wondering what u guys thought of them. ive never even seen a true alltrac in person they are very rare. the 6th gen. alltrac was never released in america and it was as fast as an evo or sti.

i see them atleast once a month at my shop! they certainly are fun, but i would need to see time slips and dyno charts to belive that they are as fast as an evo/sti

Re: srt4 vs jdm celica alltrac/gt4

im talking about the 6th gen alltracs (called gt4), the kind with the 2 round headlights in front. and if you live in america i dought uve ever seen one because they were never released here. they have 260hp but they are lighter than evos and stis so they are about as fast. the 5th gen alltracs are the ones with the popup headlights and they were tuned down here in the us with 200hp but they had 225 everywhere else. either way ive never seen any type of alltrac and thats cool that you see them once a month, your shop must be quite popular. how much boost does a srt run stock?

i would beleive that it is as fast as a sti or an evo and as long as the person knows how to drive i think that it would beat a srt but it would be close
