Looking for a paint code # for my Benz.. Help
I have a 1987 420 Sel.. Does anyone know where the paint code # is on the car ?? The car is white definitely the origin color..

The paint code could be in two different locations. More than likely it's under the hood on top of the radiator bracket. It will be stamped in a metal plate with all the other car codes(the plate is painted the same color as the car so look carefully) It will be hard to determine the numbers as there are a lot but I can probably tell you the numbers to look for. It will be either 147(artic white) or 149(polar white...I don't think this was out yet but I don't know). If you don't see the plate under the hood try looking in the door jamb for a black sticker, the color code will be in the bottom corner.
