interior lights do not go out

interior lights on. leave door open press door swich with key in and buzzer does go out. replaced this switch. i was told it was a two position switch. door hinges were bad replaced with info from this great site. also start truck and lights still on. timer bad?

does yours have a timer? I would go to each door hinge and unplug it. They are indeed 2 way switches, one part controlling the beep and the other controlling the lights. Unplugging them should help you narrow it down. A similar thing happened to my g/f jimmy. It ended up being the driver side door switch. I took it out, opened it, cleaned it with a rag, sprayed it with a little wd-40 and put it back in. All is well. Good luck.

I have this problem every once in a while. I think my rear hatch it loose and it rattles slightly open sometimes. To fix it i just have to open my hatch and slam it closed again and it seems to work every time
