Can anybody tell give me instructions on how to replace my tcc on my '92 grand am? I'm sure this is my problem from reading other posts. My manual says to take it to a shop, but i'd like to do it myself. It has a 4cyl. ohc engine

welcome joevit . Was/Is the car stalling out and dieing when you come to a stop? If you can take the transmission out you can change it. I beleive its behind the torque converter, inside the trany. Good Luck

yes its dieing when i stop. i've been told it had a 1996 engine put in it.
anyway to change part without removing the tranny?

i dont think it will come out unless you remove the transmission.
