Piaa Super Plasma GTX 9006(HB) in oem accord housing question
I have seen a good amount of talk on here and some knowlegeable sources. I am going to use the 9006 Super plasma GT x HB in my stock 96 Accord headlight mounts. Do I need to worry about them heating up too much in there. I know strange things "can" happen but I didnt think it would be a big problem. I had the halo projectors before but had too many problems and had to scrap them. I wish I had tried to retrofit the 9006 bulbs like i saw in another thread though. Anyways any help on my question? thanks

No you shouldn't have anything to worry about.... So long as they are the right bulbs for your car and the stock wattage which most PIAA, Raybrig, and Polarg and any other quality bulbs I may have missed, are.

I also read that they are interchangable between 9005 and 9006. Anyone know which way they come set up and how to tell. Im pretty sure it has to do with the colored rings on the bulb base.

Just because a bulb can work doesn't mean it's totally interchangable. I'd just take the stock bulbs out write down/memorize the # on the bulb and replace it with the same #. It should be printed on the bulb itself or the base

Put em in today. Quite bright and a hint of purple. Not quite as purple/bluish as I thought they might be. Good output though.
