Turbo DSM Question

Hey guys, how do i clean the engine bay of a turbo DSM. Just spray with a hose ? I know they sell those things you spray and all the greese falls out but what about the turbo ? Oh also where can I get a Dejon Tool hard intake pipe and Dejon Tool upper intercooler "S" pipe. I saw on EBAy that they sell those Bombz hard pipes ann are they any good ? Since they are not to expensive and look nice. By the way, I have one big problem. Defferencial is leaking and what does that mean ? ( do i need to replace gaskets ? ) Oh its a AWD

Thanks for the help

Go to Autozone or Walmart or wherever, and buy some degreaser. Spray that shit all over your engine bay, but not around the spark plugs and wires. Really cake it on. Let it sit for a few minutes, then take a garden hose and spray it off. You will probably need to repeat this a few times, then take a rag and wipe everything down. Makes a helluva difference in the look of your engine bay. Let it dry good before starting it.

Re: Turbo DSM Question

Yeah since I was looking at Clipsekid99 website and i saw he had the Dejon hardpipe but I couldnt find it on the net. I saw on EBAY they had the Bomz ones and they were pretty nice and kinda cheap. Any body have an opinion on the defferencial ?

Re: Turbo DSM Question

you can use the engine degreaser that comes in a white can with an orange top and then buy some "green clean" by gunk. cake on the degreaser and then let it sit, pressurewash it off (watch out for the sensors and shit though, don't spray those directly) and then blow dry it with an air hose. then take the green clean and spray it on everything and let it sit for a few mins. take a hose (or pressure washer) and wash off the green clean. blow dry it with an air hose. your engine bay will look like new.

Here you go, Eclipse4ever

http://www.dejonpowerhouse.com

The pipe is real nice, quality is great and the reason I got it is because it is the same dimensions as the stock one (length wise) and I wanted to run the K&N fipk air filter. I had bought the extremepsi.com intake pipe, but it was too long, and it wouldn't work with the fipk filter.

Re: Turbo DSM Question

I found this one on EBAY. I just need something that will get the job done.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/95-96...05289680QQrdZ1

I like the Ralliart filter, is there a difference in the size of the pipe or do they all come the same size. Is there a huge difference between this hard pipe and Dejon or Injen.

Re: Turbo DSM Question

I run the bomz intake, it's fine

It is a little longer and will make recirculating a bit more difficult (at least in my case).

Cleaning the engine with a power washer isn't something I would do. I just get a rag and degreaser and do it the slow but sure way. I dunno that's just me.

Re: Turbo DSM Question

Just make sure you dont get water in the filter, or on it for that matter. I use stuff at our dealership called Red Hot and another called Foam Off. I spray those where there's any dirt or grime and spray it off carefully, and my engine bay looks straight out of the factory.
