Som great um... hip hop/r&b/slow rap?
So I am not sure the name of this genre, but both my girl and I love it. Great beats to um...chill to.
Atmosphere Blackalicious NB Ridaz Immortal Technique Common Musiq Erica Badu Anyone else have any good artists in this genre? I'd love to have some more names

definately Talib. one of the most chill CD's i'll ever listen to. i don't know exactly what you're looking for, less mainstream or more mainstream? something you can relax to, or something with a fast beat?
for me, just chillin, especially with my girl, you can never go wrong with Monica or Aaliyah. immortal technique is awesome. except that one song, dance with the devil or something like that. it is so messed up i almost deleted it from my comp.

too short is actually pretty good at slow stuff.
one person i forgot to mention was Rappin' 4 Tay. he's out of the bay area. his songs, Problems, from the Dangerous MInds soundtrack is so ridiculously chill. check it out

Now that I think about it, there's nothing slower than Screw. Of course you have to like the sound and beats of Texas Rap. But I'm from the home of screw so I'm pretty biased.
 Even though I'm not as big into rap as I use to be, I still enjoy a little chopped and screwed songs now and again.
