Unhappy effing condensation

so i have clear corners, bumpers, and tails. I decided that i'd finally seal them (not the bumper lights since that condensation clears up fairly easily on its own since its two pieces separate) cuz i was sick of the condensation. so i got some heavy duty clear silicone to run along all the edges around each lens. i think i did a pretty good job of it too. you can hardly tell i did it, but its definitely there.

i thought it did the job since i had no condensation for the next couple days. but now i have a ton, i think it all got in when it rained if i remember correctly...

so what the hell?? how can i COMPLETELY eliminate that damn condensation?? its a bit of a piss off when i seal them and it still happens.

help me out.

Re: effing condensation

are you using stock lights or aftermarket ones? stock ones seal the best. mine still doesn't let any water into the trunk or lights itself

Re: effing condensation

im talking about my aftermarket pure clears (the older ones that are hard to find now) and the only reason why i got some new ones to replace my stock set is cuz my stock ones were cracked and the gaskets on them were all worn out and shitty so i was getting water in the lenses and hatch hardcore.

Re: Re: effing condensation

I basicly had a swimming pool in my trunk. Took the tail lights out and ran some foam tape around the light and now trunk is dry. Can't figure out leak in car though. Try putting some grease around the socket flange and put them back in.
