Blazer Stalling

I have a 2002 Blazer and am experiencing a mysterious stall problem. After the engine is at highway temperatures and the outside air temp is above 80 degrees, the engine will suddenly stall. It will restart and run for a couple of minutes and then stall again. It will continue this cycle until the engine is shut off and cools completely. There is no check engine light and therefore no trouble code set in the PCM. I have had it to three dealers and they have no ideas as to what the problem could be. I have replaced the ignition control module and coil, distributor cap and rotor. Has anyone else had this problem?

I will do that but I'm not experiencing any hessitation or lack of power. My problem is like somebody shutting off the switch.

Well my Blazer if I would not have cleaned the MAF probably would have got to the point of your problem, when I would pull out onto the road from work, the car would almost die, but when I though it was going to puke on me in the middle of the road, it would kick in.

Re: Blazer Stalling

hi folks, im getting the same problem with my 98 blazer 4wd. seems to be on really hot days it will just quit in traffic. wont start until whatever shut off the engine cools. had it hooked to a tester twice, no codes. not overheating. fuel pressure is good. the first time it quit, i had it towed to my mechanic, by the time they unhooked it it had cooled enough and started fine. Dont think there is any vapor lock issues. dealrer said it may be a crankshaft sensor. mechanic says it may be the coil under the cap. anyone have a clue about this ghost before i start sinking dough into it?
