Unhappy 92 BMW 525i Aircon Problem

Both the Aircon and Internal airflow buttons do not light when selected on the internal switch, associated with non working aircon or air recycling. The top rear window heater lights up and works, so power is reaching the switch. I have checked the fuses, and was just wondering if a Relay is faulty, that would power both the re-circulation and aircon. Can anyone help...?

I just went through this with 90 535. Here is what I found. The evaperator sensor was bad. Verfied using a multimeter. Went to junkyard and got one and check with meter. When I change it A/C still did not work but it needed to be change. After that I change the Compressor clutch relay mine was behind the left kick panel. If you need more info let me know.

Thanks for that, I will try changing the parts. Could you please tell me where the left kick panel is, then I will take a look.

the kickpanel is the panel on the leftside where your speaker is, your hood handle is up against it. You need to unbolt the hood release handle then there are about 5 plastic screws you just turn 1/2. I also drop my panel that is under the steering wheel. The evap temp sensor is just above where the accelerator pedal is on the right. There is one screw that holds the little carpet panel. Hope this helps.
