Yet another headlight question ...
Sorry guys, but I have another headlight question. My right headlight on my '86 SE stopped coming up the other night. The motor still works (in fact, it won't stop running until you unplug it), but it doesn't seem to be "catching" onto anything. The wheel on the top of the headlight seems to be up higher than normal and when you spin it, it clearly isn't catching anything. Is this something I can fix by taking the motor apart of should I just get a new one?
BTW, is there any easy way to remove those motors? It looks like there isn't much space to work. Thanks! Mike |

Re: Yet another headlight question ...
www.rodneydickman.com sells rebuild kits for headlights. The 86 style is a little more difficult than the 87-88 style motor, but the repair kit is lots cheaper than getting a new motor.
