im guessing its one of those ebay chips that fools your car into thinking theres more air coming in than there actually is so that more fuel is sent and although u might benifit by a few HP it makes your car run very rich. thats just my guess

Im pretty sure thats what it does lol it came with the car but they owner had not installed it its a really simple chip actually....i have a picture of it some where ill see if i can find it.

oh and by the way its the stock color but repainted i like how they painted the bumpers so its not the shitty black stuff showing

yeah, if i were you i'd remove the chip if at all possible... guaranteed you'll get better gas mileage, and perhaps even a little more power... the car will definitely run smoother.

yeah, i like the way those black bumperettes were painted over to go with the rest of the car... makes it look cleaner for sure.... the first thing i'd do if i were you is drain off some of that excess coolant you have in the reservoir.... it should only be filled up to the "max" line when the engine is cold, not all the way up to the top...

as for modifying goes, you won't get much power out of the n/a engine.. but i'd get a little more experience driving before you looked to get any more power under there

hahah i have been driving sticks since 13 i learned how to drive on a v8 firebird with 400hp so im good on that part.... also the light was on for coolant resevor tank and it pissed me off so i filled it up when it was cold like last week anyways......this is a dumb question but is it possible to have too small of an airfilter that one i have on there makes the engine gurgle and im trying to figure out if thats good or bad....hmmm

with the amount of air you're flowing, that filter will do fine... the larger ones are more for aesthetics and more heavily modified turbo's... on your n/a you should be fine as long as there are no leaks around the connection.. make sure not to bump or mess around with the MAF sensor while you're at it.. just so ya know..
